Youth Activity Staff in Fargo, North Dakota For Sale
Shift: 5:30pm-7:00pm Tuesday, 5:00pm-6:30pm Thursday
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Youth Development Director, this position will provide expertise and education to the youth by developing and teaching youth programs while building teamwork and enhancing their experience.
Qualifications:
At least 16 years of age
6 months experience working with youth
Within 1 month of hire: CPR Certification for Adult, Child, and Infant
Within 1 month of hire: First Aid Certification
Position Specific Competencies:
Creates a positive and safe learning environment where the youth learn specific skills and proper technique.
Serves as a mentor and role model to the youth.
Supervises, coaches and referees games for youth during program times
If program is off-site: will pick up and drop off program equipment and supplies each time from the YMCA and open and close the facility in use
Actively listens and works to understand children.
Provide children with correct and timely information and feedback.
Identifies problem areas and corrects as needed.
Hands out parent information packets each week
Reports any accidents or injuries to the Youth Development Director
Completes evaluations after each session
Follows all established policies and procedures set forth in training
