Our Early Learning Centers provide full-day structured activities for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. The programs are open Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 6pm and are closed on evenings and weekends.
Shift: 8:00am 5:00pm Monday- Friday
Location: South Early Learning Center xxxx 45th St S, Fargo
Position Summary:
Trains new staff and supervises the staff member's work in the classroom
Prepares, plans and provides developmentally appropriate classroom activities and field trips while teaching various curriculums to include colors, sorting, counting, letters and numbers
Assesses the children's development and maintains progress records on each child.
Meets with families during conference time twice per year and as needed to discuss their child's progress, growth and development.
Builds rapport and communicates effectively with children, families and staff.
Engages with, supports and nurtures children while teaching social and self-help skills.
Teaches appropriate social skills while remaining calm and modeling positive behavior.
Serves meals and assists children in proper eating skills
Assures that the classroom is a clean and organized learning environment
Qualifications:
At least 18 years old
Within 3 months of hire: 12 hours of basic childcare training through Childcare Resources and Referral
Within 6 months of hire: CPR Certification for Adult, Child and Infant
Within 6 months of hire: First Aid Certification
An Associate's Degree or higher in a directly related field or will allow 18 months to complete if in the process of obtaining. OR
Obtain a Child Development Associate Certification within 18 months of hire. You will receive more information on this if interviewed.
