Client Relations Manager - Plasmid DNA in Fargo, North Dakota For Sale

Position Summary:
This position will build strategic and long-term relationships with clients requiring research grade plasmid DNA services, by understanding their technical requirements, research goals and offering an appropriate custom manufacturing solution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Client Relations Manager Plasmid DNA is responsible for the following primary duties:
Develop relationships with existing clients and establish new relationships with relevant prospects and leads relevant to research grade plasmid DNA
Grow research grade pDNA business with the ability to quickly identify and share opportunities for Clinical/Diagnostic grade Plasmid, Protein & Antibody service platforms
Travel to clients and relevant conferences to present Aldevron's service portfolio to scientific personnel and procurement Directors / Managers and Executive staff
Meet with clients in person and over the phone to understand requirements, communicate project information and support business development efforts
Work closely with Aldevron marketing colleagues to develop and launch marketing initiatives to create awareness for existing and new products and services
Work closely with Aldevron's internal teams to continuing refining the business development process, and input / track information in a Client Relationship Management software system
Expand business and contacts at target key pharma, biotech and diagnostic clients
Write detailed business proposals for distribution to client with support from Manufacturing/Quality team
Interface routinely with scientific and project management personnel at Aldevron
Communicate client feedback to management regarding new service opportunities with suggestions to improve Aldevron's service
Demonstrate high ethical standards and trustworthiness.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced team orientated environment.
Position requires occasional travel and reports to Global Director of Client Relations.
Supervise CR Coordinator and CR Specialist (RG plasmid)
Maintain SOPs and training materials for Client Relations
Liaise between CR and IT for developments relating to webstores and Netsuite
Help to create/ edit new item numbers in NS when necessary. Be the "gateway" to IT for CR to do this (helps to avoid duplicating numbers we already have, better design the items for classification, training new CR members, etc.)
Gather client requests/ requirements for the webstore and translate to IT to make a functioning system
Answer questions from IT when they are working on other people's requests to make sure their changes will work within our current setups
Identify and help IT build out new ways to automate and use NS or the DB to make processes more efficient.
Work with Finance, Production, QC, and Special Projects leaders to establish pricing for new services (minicircle, mRNA, third party sequencing, etc.)
Qualifications:
Knowledge/Education:
Advanced scientific degree preferred with minimum 1-3 years previous training and experience in a client-facing role
Previous experience with CRM interface
Skills:
Broad scientific and technical expertise in the field of immunology, cell biology, molecular biology and protein biochemistry with a clear scientific understanding of plasmid purification and applications.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present technical information to senior level personnel on client visits
Ability to develop detailed project plans, prioritize tasks and allocate resources to achieve company and client objectives
Ability to effectively manage client expectations through honest, consistent, and professional communication of positive and negative scientific results
Ability to work with scientific personnel to troubleshoot scientific problems encountered by clients
Understand basic accounting principles including price cost structure, gross margin and profit
Demonstrated leadership and organization skills
Excellent computer skills
